Carriage Museum

The museum in Gsotthaberhof to 1803 was a fief of the Benedictine monastery of Tegernsee. It was bought in 1960 by the Municipality of Rottach-Egern and later leased after abandonment of agriculture at the horse lover Thomas Böck. He collected disused wagons, carriages and sleighs, which were even then almost all older than one hundred years. For this he earned Fuhrmann accessories and old equipment. 1999 the community bought Rottach-Egern Böck'sche the collection and then started after the conversion and extension of the holding and the design of the museum.

Olaf Gulbransson Museum

Gritty, witty, honest, but never really bad - these were the drawings of Gulbransson Olaf (1873-1958). During his lifetime, the native Norwegians celebrated great success as a cartoonist for the Simplicissmus. In the 20 years he had drifted on the Tegernsee, where he remained until his death in 1958 at home.
1966 honored the city of Tegernsee her famous son-election with a museum in Tegerseer Kurgarten.
